The State's Workshops for Art at Christianshavn in Copenhagen hosted this year's general meeting of the Association of Visual Artists on Thursday 2 November. Chairwoman Marie Thams gave a report and told about some of the activities that the board and secretariat have initiated and been involved in since the last general meeting, while head of the secretariat Klaus Pedersen presented accounts and the budget that BKF must work with in the coming year. Both parts were approved by the members present, who also re-elected Marie Thams as chairwoman for the next two years.
There are five positions up for election to the board, for which 12 candidates have applied. The election is carried out as a preliminary vote among the members. More on this later.
