Københavns Grafiske Værksted is an association whose purpose is to run a graphic workshop together. The association is founded at the Factory for Art and Design. The workshop is set up so that you can work with both high-pressure and gravure printing techniques such as e.g. woodcuts, linoleum prints, etchings, photogravure. The members are visual artists/graphic artists who have professional knowledge of various graphic techniques and use them as an essential part of their artistic work.

About membership

  • The workshop is booked via a shared calendar.
  • All members each have a place to store materials.
  • A subscription is paid per month, which covers, among other things, rent. There is also a deposit for the workshop and a key deposit.
  • All members contribute to the community with practical work at the workshop (e.g. cleaning), participation in workshop meetings, a role on the board or exhibition committee, open house at the Factory and other events.
  • All members submit a printout to KGV's archive folder.

The workshop is non-toxic (we clean plates with cooking oil, among other things). We have two printing presses for gravure printing and high pressure, vertical etchant tank, extraction by etching sink, lighting cabinet for photogravure, water tubs in several sizes, drying rack, plates for applying pressure.

We receive continuous applications.
