Distribution of the assets of the Cartoonist Anne Gretes Foundation

The cartoonist Anne Grete's Foundation aims to provide support to fiction writers and poets, visual artists, including cartoonists and graphic artists, as well as architects and photographers. For many years, this has taken the form of work stays at her house in Provence, France.

As the foundation's assets could no longer support the expenses associated with owning and maintaining the house, it was sold in 2023, and the foundation is now in the process of being dissolved. The remaining assets will be distributed in the spirit of Anne Grete according to the foundation's charter.

The Anne Gretes Foundation, the Danish artist, therefore awards travel grants of up to DKK 20.000 to fiction writers and poets, visual artists, including illustrators and graphic designers, as well as architects and photographers.

The travel grants can be applied for via an application form on this page and must include:

  • Description of the purpose of the trip (max. 1250 characters)
  • Motivation (max. 1250 characters)
  • CV (max 2 pages)

The trip must not have taken place at the time of application.

The jury consists of the members of the foundation's board of directors.

The deadline for applications is September 15, 2026.

The award will take place in November 2026.
