In the village of Sødinge ved Ringe on Midtfyn is the house Gammel Have, which is an artist residence where Nordic writers and other artists who need peace and inspiration can apply for a residence. The house is owned by a foundation, and it stands largely as it was lived in by the donor, Margrethe Hansen – an unusual woman, characterized by Danish high school and country house culture.
Gammel Have contains a study, large living room, two bedrooms with four beds, kitchen, utility room and bathroom, as well as a studio in an annex building. Bed linen, sheets and towels are provided. There is a fast internet connection with WiFi. The house has a beautiful garden, it is located peacefully in a rural setting that invites you to go for walks and bike rides. There are approx. three kilometers to trains and shops. The duration of the stay is typically one month, possibly more.
The price is 3700 Danish kroner per month from April to September. There is also electricity and heat, which are billed according to consumption. The rest of the year (October-March) the price is DKK 2700 per month, plus the part of the electricity and heating costs that are over DKK 2000 per month.
In addition, there is per rented month a deposit of DKK 2000, which is paid no later than one week before arrival. The deposit is refunded after settlement of consumption. It happens that an applicant has to withdraw.
