Vejleder Christina Wilson

Gas9Gallery is a new gallery initiative in Copenhagen led and owned by can. phil., art historian Christina Wilson. Gas9 strives to represent and collaborate with highly talented artists who Christina Wilson has a long experience working in the art world.

Being a former museum curator she opened her first art gallery, Gallery Christina Wilson in 2002 representing a long list of internationally renown artists such as John Kørner, Kirstine Roepstorff, Jesper Just, Mette Winckelmann, Alicja Kwade, Sophie Calle, Vanessa Billy and others. During the 10 years the galleries existence it was active at art fairs: Art Basel, LISTE Basel, Frieze London, Armory Show, NADA Miami, Art Bruxelles, Market Stockholm among others. In 2012 she closed the gallery and became an art advisor for mainly cultural institutions and artists. Wilson developed a model for artistic talent development in order to give especially visual artist a possibility for developing a sustainable artistic and professional practice. Her methodology includes narrative therapy, self leadership and identity forming
the artist role in modern society.

Much of the above mentioned methology is carried on into the way she is collaborating with artists in Gas9Gallery.
