Milena Høgsberg er mentor i Billedkunstnernes Forbund
Milena Høgsberg is a curator and writer with 20 years of experience working in the international field of contemporary art. She holds a BA in art history from Columbia University, NYC and an MA from CCS(the center for curatorial studies) NY and was based in nyc and oslo for 18 years.
Høgsberg co-curated the major solo exhibition “Hilma af Klint: Artist, Researcher, Medium” with Iris Müller-Westermann at Moderna Museet, Malmö (2020/21). She recently edited the monographic publications Lea Porsager: [?!] (Mousse) and Mette Winckelmann: Flags of Freedom (Strandberg). She regularly contributes texts to international catalogues , monographs as well as art magazines such as Art Forum and Art Agenda.
She has held positions as Curator of the 2017 edition I Taste the Future of LIAF (the Lofoten International Art Festival); Chief Curator and Head of Collections at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter and Director of Museet for Samtidskunst, Roskilde, Denmark.
A vital part of Høgsberg’s practice remains to work closely with artists, at different stages of their career, as well as with other international curators, fostering a space of thinking together both through exhibitions, publications and talks.
