This course is for you who work with video works and want to be able to project on other and more than
screens. You will get an introduction and knowledge about the possibilities for working with video projection and
video mapping.
Monday 24 June 2024 at 9-15.30 / Introduction to the production of video material for presentation on
alternative surfaces.
On the first day of the course, you will be introduced to the work of creating artistic video material in order to
project onto materials other than monitors and screens. You will gain a basic understanding of camera and
recording, and the use of colors and dynamics in connection with the recording and the subsequent editing with
think about the end product. We will also talk about the surroundings you can project/present in and which surfaces you can
can project on.
Wednesday 26 June 2024 at 9-15.30 / Videomapping, introduction to projection on surfaces and objects.
On the second day of the course, you will get an introduction to video mapping, which is the manipulation of video material
physical surfaces/objects. You will get a basic understanding of the many issues and conditions that you have to deal with
deal with in connection with video mapping of irregular shapes and alternative surfaces and how you
through understanding the program MadMapper can translate them into creative possibilities.
We work based on the software MadMapper.
Participants are asked to bring their own laptop with the free demo version of MadMapper installed.

Teacher
The Norwegian visual artist Christoffer Brekne has extensive experience with video production and the production of advertisements
for theaters and stage companies, as well as working as a cinematographer and editor on award-winning dance films.
Christoffer has collaborated with several installation artists around their works, such as the video design
to Noelia Mora Solvez' 'Birds', which is now part of the collection at ARoS, Aarhus Art Museum.
With experience with most camera systems for video production, Christoffer Brekne has a broad knowledge of
lights for camera and stage. He has also worked and filmed in almost every imaginable situation and condition and has
