By disability is meant both physical, cognitive, psychological and sensory handicaps that create barriers for the artist to create, exercise and participate equally in the artistic life.

Examples of applications/support purposes:

  • A visual artist with a physical disability who seeks to be able to pay for an assistant's co-participation on a residency or research trip, for example in the form of a grant for travel and accommodation.
  • A visual artist with a disability seeking funding for a workshop assistant in connection with new work productions and exhibitions.
  • A visual artist with a mental disability who, in connection with the production of a performance, is looking for funds for an assistant to create security, an overview and assist with the practical.
  • A visual artist with a cognitive disability who is looking for a small amount to be able to pay a copywriter for assistance in connection with fund applications and other copywriting.

Please note that there may be other opportunities for support for your artistic work. Only search the Availability Pool in the event that existing options do not meet your needs in your artistic practice and production.
