The Visual Artists Association is a trade union and a professional community for you who study visual arts at a Danish or foreign academy.

Graphic layout: Laura Silke

As a BKF Student, you get a strong professional network and a good entry into life as a professional artist.

You can become a student member of BKF if you are a student at one of the art academies below - or an equivalent foreign art academy:

  • The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (Village Schools)
  • The Funen Art Academy
  • The Jutland Academy of Arts

Simply fill out the form below and press 'Send'

NB! If you are registered at a foreign art academy, please attach documentation for this, e.g. with a copy of your student card.
You must also provide  a Danish address, to which we can send regular mail.

  • Access to free legal guidance from BKF's lawyer
  • Denmark's best professional magazine for visual artists sent by post four times a year

  • Opportunity to influence all BKF Students' union policy initiatives. Contact us today with proposals or come and meet us at BKF's secretary in Copenhagen
  • As a student and member of BKF, you can get Denmark's best student account at Lån & Spar.
  • For the first three months after graduation, only the student membership fee is charged
