In this course, you will learn how to process and prepare Photoshop files so that they can be used as templates in weaving on the TC2 loom – a digital, single thread controlled loom. By testing digital files in different weaving techniques, you will get a good feel for how the TC2 loom can be used.
It is possible to work directly from processed photos or scanned sketch material. The course begins with us working exclusively with two colours. This gives you a better understanding of the weave. After that, there will be plenty of opportunity to work with more colors, different bindings and other materials. The goal is for you to gain enough knowledge about the use of the TC2 loom and its possibilities that you can continue working yourself.
At the end of the course you will have:
• Experience processing Photoshop files into weaveable files
• Experience with weaving on TC2 looms
• Knowledge of the construction of the loom, setup and troubleshooting
