It can be an advantage to apply as early as possible, as there are often more applicants and increased competition at the last deadlines.

About the program

Culture Moves Europe is Creative Europe's exchange program to ensure exchange and mobility for artists and cultural professionals in the Creative Europe countries.

The pool is the only one in the Creative Europe program that can be applied for by individuals.

Facts about the pool

The pool supports artistic and professional exchange, where individuals or small groups travel to another Creative Europe country to collaborate with a host partner.

  1. Travel for individual artists and cultural professionals on 7-60 days
  2. Travel for groups of max. 5 people on 7-21 days

Culture Moves Europe covers the subject areas:

  • Music
  • Fiction
  • Architecture
  • Cultural heritage
  • Design
  • Fashion
  • Visual art
  • Performing arts

NOTE: It is only possible to get support for travel to countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. That is countries in the EU as well as on this list

It is a prerequisite for receiving support that the applicant has a business partner/host in the country of destination.

Who can apply?

  • The pool can be applied for by individuals or small groups of up to 5 people. Both artists and people who work with art and culture within one of the above fields can receive support.
  • Applicants must be residents of a Creative Europe country. That means countries in the EU as well countries on this list

Viewer discretion: Culture Moves Europe is administered by the Goethe-Institut Brussels on behalf of the European Commission. The Goethe-Institut is responsible for the evaluation and granting of commitments and regularly holds online information sessions for applicants.
