On the course we review elementary processes and working methods in the lithographic technique: Preparation of stone. Execution of motive. Rolling of stone. Chemistry. Correct use of press. Paper handling and thus also the aesthetic and practical issues regarding the presentation of the finished prints.
We will also look at the method's history and development, and a large part of the course is based on the students' mutual cooperation on the processes.

About the Teacher:
Bjarne Werner Sørensen graduated from the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts, 1985.
His artistic practice mainly revolves around the media graphics and painting, but also photography and digital prints. He has exhibited his works both at home and abroad; most recently Nordatlantens Brygge and the Faroe Islands Art Museum in Tórshavn. Is also a workshop consultant at SVFK's graphic workshop.
Application and target group:
The course is aimed at professional visual artists and other practitioners within the aesthetic disciplines who have knowledge and understanding of graphic work processes and who have a desire to work independently with lithography.
